Memory Reels is developed by Andrew Hoffart. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.

Privacy First

Memory Reels is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your photos never leave your device. All memory detection, photo organization, and processing happens entirely on your device using on-device intelligence. There are no cloud uploads, no remote servers, and no tracking.

Photo Library Access

Memory Reels requires access to your photo library to scan and organize your photos into memories. All photos remain on your device and in your control. The app only reads photo metadata (such as date and time) to group photos taken within 30 minutes of each other. Your photos are never uploaded, shared, or transmitted to any external servers.

Information Collection

Memory Reels does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The app does not require users to provide names, email addresses, account credentials, or any other personal data.

Data Storage

All memory organization data (such as memory names, collections, and custom arrangements) is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device and is not backed up to any external servers operated by the developer. If you use iCloud backup for your device, this data may be included in your personal iCloud backup managed by Apple.

Widgets

Memory Reels offers Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets that display your memories. Widget data is stored locally on your device and managed by iOS. No photo or memory data is transmitted outside your device to display widgets.

In-App Purchases

Memory Reels offers an optional in-app purchase (Memory Reels Unlimited) to unlock unlimited memories beyond the free 5-memory limit. All purchases are processed securely through Apple's App Store. The developer does not receive or store payment information.

Analytics

Memory Reels does not use any third-party analytics services. The app may use Apple App Analytics to help the developer understand app usage and improve performance. Apple may collect anonymized usage data in accordance with their privacy practices. You can control analytics sharing in your device settings.

Third-Party Services

Memory Reels does not integrate any third-party tracking, advertising, or analytics frameworks. The only external services used are Apple's native frameworks (PhotoKit, StoreKit, WidgetKit) which operate according to Apple's privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

Memory Reels is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Since all processing happens on-device and no data is transmitted, there is no risk of collecting children's personal information.

Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the changes will be reflected on this page. Continued use of Memory Reels after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
